Privacy
The short version: your photos never leave your device. Mirklis decodes, measures, and rates your files entirely inside your browser. No server ever receives your images or anything derived from their pixels. You can confirm this by watching the network tab in your browser's developer tools while you cull.
Your photos
RAW and JPEG files are read in place from the folder or card you choose. Nothing is uploaded, copied to a server, or sent to any third party. When you rate a shot, the rating is written back into your own file as a standard XMP star value. There is no account, no catalog, and no cloud copy.
Analytics
To understand how the tool is used and to improve it, this site uses PostHog, a product-analytics service, to record anonymous usage events such as which pages are visited and which features are used, along with general device and browser information. This data is about how the site is used, not about your photographs. Your images, their contents, and their file names are never collected and never sent anywhere, including to PostHog.
No selling, no profiles
There is no sign-up and no personal account. Usage data is used only to improve Mirklis and is never sold.
