About Critique

Critique is an intent-aware photography critique and edit-direction platform. Generic scorers grade a photograph against rules. Critique reads what the photographer was trying to do first, judges how well the frame serves that intent, and then directs concrete crops and edits — always explaining the reasoning, so the photographer learns rather than merely complies.

Not an editor

There is no catalog, no library management, no export pipeline. Preview adjustments are rendered only to show what a change does; you take the resulting values back to your own tool, such as Lightroom.

Data first, AI optional

The measured layer — EXIF reading, exposure and clipping statistics, geometry-derived crop candidates — is computed deterministically and burns no tokens. The interpretive layer — grade, reasoning, narrative voice — lives behind a stable schema and a versioned system prompt, served by a pluggable engine that any model or agent can implement.
